Tussle at Polikeka

Hyderabad, February, 8 : The differences between the Telangana leaders came to the forefront in an unexpected manner at the Polikeka organized by the students at Warangal. When Krishna Madiga came up to the podium and started talking the mike all of a sudden gave-way and his speech could not be heard by the students. This led to a tussle and a later blame game between Krishna Madiga and the TRS.

Krishna Madiga claims that the mike was switched off on the insistence of KCR who did not want the dalit leader to be present on the occasion. The leader further alleges that KCR paid some amount to the student leaders to keep him away from the event.

The TRS denies these allegations. In reality some analysts are projecting this tussle as the between the upper casts led by KCR and the dalits led by Krishna Madiga. It now needs to be observed as to how this tussle will affect the struggle for a separate Telangana.
